Hygiene Health and Wellness

Routine cleanings and exams can help to prevent many dental problems. Every day plaque and tartar can form as a result of bacteria feeding on food particles trapped in hard-to-reach places around teeth. This bacterium causes tooth decay and cavities, weakens the bone around teeth, leading to tooth loss, and can cause or be associated with other serious health problems.

Routine cleanings allow the effective removal of these bacteria, while regular exams aid in the early detection of issues such as oral cancer.

Dental X-rays

Knowing where your dental health stands are the first step in preventative oral hygiene. Dental X-Rays provide our team with an in-depth look at the inside and outside health of your teeth and surrounding bone. Technology has advanced significantly, and the radiation used in dental x-rays is roughly equivalent to a 2-hour airplane flight!

As a precaution, we continue to follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of both our staff and our patients.

Professional Cleanings

Cleanings are strongly advised every 3-6 months. Have you ever wondered why this is so? That's how long bacteria can form a layer of plaque on your teeth that regular brushing and flossing cannot reach. Only a dentist has the tools and experience to get those difficult-to-reach areas. Our team also looks for other signs of cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, etc.

Sealants are essential for children because they coat the molars with a tooth-colored layer that protects the teeth from bacteria as the child's teeth develop and the child develops their own exceptional at-home hygiene routine!

Home Care Kits

After each visit, you'll be given a home care kit that includes a new toothbrush (which should be replaced every three months), travel toothpaste, and floss. Need help determining which way to brush your teeth or how to reach your back teeth? Never be afraid to ask our staff for home care advice!

We understand that visiting the dentist can be frightening. We want to make sure that your fear isn't preventing you from making crucial dental care decisions. Our sedation options will relax you, and many patients report having no recollection of the procedure afterward. Ask us if sedation is a good option for you.

Pediatric Care

Our practice primarily serves adult patients, but we encourage families to bring their children in for routine dental care at least six months after their first baby tooth appears. Baby teeth are essential in developing adult teeth, and taking children to the dentist at a young age helps them develop an appreciation for routine care. We make the experience enjoyable and reassuring, so the child does not develop dental phobias!
